Membership is open to all ages and levels of knowledge and experience.

The Lady-Slipper - our quarterly Newsletter: Our newsletter has articles about native plant identification, conservation, gardening, plant uses and lore, Kentucky's botanical history, and all the latest news and coming events. A PDF version is available at the Lady-Slipper page.

Field Trips and Workshops: These are directed by knowledgeable leaders and conducted in all parts of the state. You will get to see special plants and visit unique and interesting areas.

KNPS Native Plant Certification: Members have an opportunity to enroll in introductory to advanced courses in different areas of botany - all leading to a Certificate in Native Plant Studies.

Special Projects and Meetings: You can help save an endangered plant or an natural area of exotic invasive plants. We have two meetings a year that include slide/power point programs, talks and hikes. The spring meeting coincides with the Wildflower Weekend at Natural Bridge ( check our events page for dates ) and the fall meeting is currently at Shakertown.
