Neat Flora of Dry Outcrops and Woodlands in the Kentucky River Valley – Length 16:29

Cedar, ash, oaks, and honeysuckle aren’t the only things inhabiting the dry, rocky, steep habitats above the Kentucky River. Join Office of Kentucky Nature Preserves botanist Devin Rodgers for a tour of some of the neat flora adapted to these sunny, erodible, rugged, beautiful places.

Each year KNPS organizes field trips to explore Kentucky’s natural areas. Trip leaders are knowledgeable about the area being explored and the native plants and plant communities that are found in that area.

For the best experience and to protect sensitive plant habitats, the number of participants in the field trips will usually be limited. Because of this, pre-registration will be required for all trips. Registration forms will be made active 30 days before each trip.
